Comprehensive Occupational Therapy services to work closely with clients and their carers to identify their needs and goals, then develop customized treatment plans to help them enhancing independence, safety, quality of life, and well-being through client-centred interventions.

Evaluation of an individual's physical, cognitive and psychosocial abilities to determine their functional capabilities, support needs and identify potential barriers and hazards within the home. Provision of professional OT recommendations to improve the individual's functional abilities and ensure a safe living environment.

Recommendation of equipment, including electric bed, recliner lift chair, pressure care mattress, cushions, bathroom aids and others tailored to meet individual needs, enhance independence, reduce risk of falls or pressure injury, reduce carers stress and improve safety.

Wheelchair Assessment

Simple modifications to homes, such as installations of rails and portable ramps, replacement of shower hose and taps to improve accessibility, independence and safety.

Complex modifications to homes, such as removal of bathtub to create walk-in shower, stairlift installations, platform steps and ramp installations, to improve accessibility and safety.

Evaluation of an individual's mobility needs and functional capacities to determine the most suitable type of manual wheelchair, powered wheelchair and seating system.

Mobility Scooter Assessment

Home Safety Education

(including Fall Prevention Strategies)

Manual Handling Training

Assessing an individual's mobility requirements and functional abilities to identify the most appropriate mobility scooter in order to enhance independence and mobility.

Education on creating a safe home environment and implementing strategies to prevent falls, conserve energy, and enhance overall home safety.

Training the client, carers and/or support worker on safe manual handling techiniques and use of transfer aids to prevent injuries and promote safe functional transfers.
